This short digital course is ideal for anyone who struggles to prioritize and make time for themselves. If self-care (the practice of looking after yourself) is new to you and you are struggling to find time and ways to integrate it to your life, this course will get you started.
You will learn three skills that are essential to self-care:
Slowing down and taking stock of your experience
Developing the ability to be realistic and compassionate with yourself
Attending to your wellbeing regularly
You will be provided with strategies to develop those skills and implement them in your day-to-day life.
For convenience, the course comes in three parts of approximately 15 minutes each and includes a guided meditation that will help you slow down, tune in and become more aware of your experience in the moment. Self-care does not have to be time-consuming, yet these snippets of time taken to look after yourself will help promote calm and greater clarity of mind.
This course includes elements of mindfulness and is perfect if you have no prior experience with it. The tools and strategies you will learn will organically help you integrate mindfulness in your life. Perfect if you are interested in a mindful approach and don't have the time to learn all about it.
I frequently use meditations and visualizations with clients. It can bring rapid relief and have lasting effects that ripple after the session. No previous experience of meditation is needed. Once they have tried it, people often comment of the immediate relaxation they experience and are open to using this tool regularly.
